Not Enough Time in the Day

Baby Boys

This is the season for baby boys I guess. Darin's good buddy, Gary and wife, Kyla, had their first baby last weekend. His name is Evan Micah. Isn't he adorable? We hope to visit the family soon and see him in person!

Just some thoughts

I got an email from my church this week about Karl Kussulke's death. The email was brief, mentioning one of our "long time attenders" had died and it gave the information about when and where the funeral was taking place. Little did I know, at the time, that Karl Kussulke was a former Vikings player. What I found out, is that his 10 year career ended when he was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident. One of my friends, who also attends Oak Hills Church, went to his visitation last night and she told me kind of a cool thing. On the back of the funeral notice thing, it said "Being in a wheelchair is an inconvenience. Living without Jesus Christ is a real handicap."

Congrats, Joe & Katie!

Our good friends, Joe & Katie, had their baby boy on Saturday night! We are so excited for them! Darin and I were privileged to get to see baby Emmett in the hospital on Sunday. Isn't he adorable?

As much as I wanted to

I really would have liked to sleep in this morning. But, couldn't. I've been working a lot lately and just feel like I should get more sleep. Oh well.

Darin surprised me and bought me a Mac PowerBook G4! He knew ever since I sold my laptop, I've felt a little in lingo land using hand-me-down monitor/keyboard/mouse with a comp he built. This will be nice to have if I ever need to bring my freelance work with me somewhere! It's got a nice wide screen, ideal for doing design work.

On another note - it's finally fall! I love how cool it is outside. I can layer up and still enjoy the fresh air outside. And there's a certain smell of fall. You know what I mean when I say a certain smell? Mmmmm. I love it.

This morning I'm meeting up with friends to go to an apple orchard! I can't wait! Lots of photo capturing moments ahead. Unfortunately I have to work in the early afternoon, so, it will be a shorter than desired event. I will make sure to post photos later!
