Framed

This past week, Dena and I got to spend some time with our lovely friend, RiAnna. We got to talking and figured it had been over a year since we had last gotten together. It's sad how that happens. We share so many fond college memories with RiAnna. We were laughing and reminiscing about our thrift store "runs." Whenever there was a free period (which was about an hour in length), we would round up anyone interested, pile in someone's car and head to rice street for some shopping. These are the memories that make me wish for those college days again. It was fun to have that community and friends that were just a few doors down.

Dalida Pool Party

Darin and I spent our July 4th at his parent's home swimming in their outdoor pool, enjoying good food and relaxing with friends and family. Wayne provided a display of fireworks in the front lawn. I took a few photos...

Mabel

So, Darin and I got a kitty today. Her name is Mabel. Our friend, Amanda, works at a vet's office and this poor kitty no longer had a home. She is 7 years old, with all the 'fixings.' She has a sweet nature, is very laid back but likes to be petted. She also hardly makes a peep. Isn't she cute?

A pleasant Suprise

So, it is super nice outside today. Not too hot, but definitely not too cold. Earlier this afternoon, I decided to take a walk and check out a park in Edina that I have often jogged by. I brought a book along to read, as well as my digital camera. Originally I thought I'd attempt to be a creative photographer as I happened upon various yellow objects.

This was very lame in comparison to what I was about to discover. This park wasn't just a park.

It had mini golf! And paddle boats you could rent and paddle down the "river." I even saw a Crane (is that what it's called?)!

Anyway, it was a really really great experience walking around in the sunshine and gentle breeze. I read my book by the cute little fountain before walking home. I will definitely frequent this park in the future.

EG

It's been almost a week since this occurred, but, I didn't want to skip posting such a great memory! We were home for the weekend - Dena and I ran the 5k race with Amy and Laura Saturday morning and then spent the day with Erin. The boys got to hang out with Wayde too!
