Not Life Changing or Anything

I just thought this was funny and strange. Last night, Darin was drinking coffee and his mug handle broke right off! Coffee was everywhere, mostly on his shirt though. We laughed about it for a while.

Molly & Ryan got married!

This was one of the most enjoyable weddings I've been to. Molly and Ryan created a really memorable and fun atmosphere. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was full of color and activities! They had a carnival-esque theme with table decor: crayons and coloring pages, tickets, popcorn and candy galore. And the highlight: a photo booth! Very very cool.

Thrift Decor

So, I've been looking for something to put in the large frame above our bed. Darin wanted to get some paper mache' deer head/antler thing he found online. Maybe someday. Until then, this is what I found at the Savers by my house for $4.99.

Bed, comforter and lamps are all IKEA

Graduation Celebration

My dear friend, Amanda, graduated from Aveda Institute last night. The ceremony was pretty cool - the building has amazing architecture and everything was put together nicely. A couple of the instructors spoke and all of them mentioned Amanda's class being one of the most devoted and talented students they've ever had. They were very proud of the students. Anyway, we went out to eat afterwards at Buca's, family style. It was fun and I was glad to be able to share this special time with Amanda.

Stunning Bride

This weekend, one of my BFF's got married. It was a really great weekend - Friday I rode down to Iowa with the other bridesmaids (who happen to be my other BFFs) Dena, Kate, and Jen. We spent the majority of the day decorating the church and doing other wedding day prep including the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Saturday was the "big day" and it was lovely being a part of such a meaningful and important event. The wedding consisted of not just the ceremony and reception, but also BOWLING, cosmic style! One of the highlights of the evening was wearing our fancy dresses to the bowling alley and pairing them with our hot colored bowling shoes! We got many compliments. The cool thing is that Becky really was a "glowing bride" in white.

Musty is Gone

If you've gotten to know me over the last two years, then you probably know about "musty tooth."

It all started one day when I was managing the Turn Style in Crystal. I bit into a piece of licorice and thought "what's that awful taste?" Little did I know (tragedy), it wasn't the licorice at all, but my rotting tooth. For seven hundred and thirty days, I endured musty tooth. I had turned into your grandma's attic. What could I do? I started brushing better, Listerine-ing before bedtime, and even avoided chewing on the left side of my mouth. To no avail, musty tooth remained.

Two years, a new job, and new insurance later, I saw a dentist. Today marks a new life. I survived not only one, but TWO, root canals. I still have 5 more cavities left and thousands of dollars to pay. But, by golly, musty tooth is gone! RIP.

Pity checks will be accepted.
